Writer supports Boan for probate judge

I believe that Leigh Powers Boan is the most qualified and experienced candidate for Georgetown County Probate Judge.

Leigh has had a long legal career as an attorney and is well versed in issues that come before the court. She has been active in the county and has a good understanding of the issues we face.

I know Leigh and she has the right temperament to be a judge. She’s patient, thoughtful and fair.

Probate court is important and affects county citizens in many ways: probating estates, resolving disputes in estates and trusts, appointment of guardians and conservators for the incapacitated, involuntary commitments for addiction or mental illness, and issuing marriage licenses, among others.

Leigh is well prepared to take on these responsibilities and will do a great job as probate judge. Please join me in voting for her June 14 in the Republican Primary.
