Bathroom fear comes from bias

Listening to the chants of “Jesus Loves Me” at the Horry County School Board meeting Monday took me clear back to the 1950s and the days of the civil rights movement. It has never been about water fountains, schools, lunch counters, seats on a bus or bathrooms.

It is all about discrimination born of fear, fostered and nurtured by a determined self-imposed ignorance.

You should take note that the same people who think a two-dollar decal on a bathroom door is going to protect their children are convinced that the same two-dollar “no guns allowed” decal is not going to protect anyone from violent crime.
