Gender editorial was off base, insulting
Re Sunday editorial opposing laws requiring people to use the restroom according to their birth status:
I find it way off base and insulting. How anyone can equate the use of the gender-appropriate bathroom with equality, civil rights and human rights is astounding. Have you folks raised any children, male or female? Are you familiar with the predatory behavior of homosexuals on our young boys and young men? Are you familiar with the sexualization of our young girls, the expanding sex trade industry, and the out-of-control porn addictions?
I welcome this legislation but, frankly, I am astounded that we even need it. In my formative years our parents were well aware of sexual perversions and steered us clear of people who displayed such traits. Thank you, Mom and Dad. They also taught us compassion and non-judgmentalism for such people.
This editorial’s insulting words for those who feel gender ideology is not only wrong but dangerous smacks of elitism. And you insult a large group of your customers and readers as well.
My morality always informs my economic decisions; not the other way around; maybe your paper should practice the same but, you have to get your morality straight.
