GOP leaders simply don’t get it
It is with a very heavy heart I pen this letter. I’m a 70-year-old lifelong Republican who tonight is ashamed of my party. For my entire adult life Republicans have stood for conservative American principles and values but lately have become disconnected with the very people they say they represent.
Listen up, Republican National Committee: We aren’t buying what you’re selling. We’re ready for a different direction and a leader who doesn’t apologize for being American and protecting the values we all hold so dear. The Donald is far from perfect, but don’t we want someone who will fight for what’s best for America? And not be obligated to special interests with an agenda of their own?
This election may very well be our last chance to protect what our forefathers fought and died for. Hillary, if elected, will most certainly follow the Obama path of government entitlement, tax and spend, until English is our second language and Old Glory is replaced with a different flag. God help us all.
