Rice should leave Medicare plan alone
As someone who is happy with my healthcare coverage through Medicare Advantage, I have one message for U.S. Rep. Tom Rice on whether funding to this program should be cut: We like it the way it is. Don’t touch it. Leave it alone.
Medicare Advantage provides me with an affordable way of obtaining healthcare. I pay $39 per month, and my out-of-pocket expenses are affordable. Some Medicare supplement plans charge monthly premiums of $200 or more, which some people have to pay because they have serious health problems. For me, Medicare Advantage provides what I need at a price I can afford. Even after a 3-day hospitalization, my bill was reasonable.
South Carolina voters are looking to Representative Rice to work against any additional Medicare Advantage funding cuts. We hope that he helps protect our ability to choose healthcare plans that work best for us.
