Send Guantanamo inmates to Chicago
I have sent a couple of letters in the past about my personal opinion on why President Obama wants to open relations with Cuba, which I strongly disagree with for a number of reasons, especially concerning Guantanamo Bay. But now there is a bigger concern as Obama wants to close the Prison at Gitmo altogether and have the 90 or so prisoners transferred to the U.S. Mainland.
Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina opposes this move as one of the sites under consideration is the old U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig in Hanahan, which is just five miles from North Charleston. This prison would be too close to schools and would put the general population and children of that region in fear and constant danger.
I agree completely with Senator Graham on this issue. I got an idea Mr. President, and would like to help you decide where you can have these terrorists who want to kill us reside. How about the South Side of Chicago?
where maybe the good Rev. Wright can give them his blessing!
