Why South Carolinians support Trump
Why South Carolinians Support Trump:
It is insulting to me when I hear anyone say that South Carolina supported Trump because of something as shallow and superficial as his celebrity. We voted for Trump for the following reasons:
1) He is not taking any money from special interests or PACs. He is self-funded and therefore is beholden to no man or organization. We all believe that Washington, D.C. is one of the most incompetent and corrupt places in this country. Every other candidate (except Trump) would be beholden to some other organization. Trump would only be beholden to the American people who elected him so he would be working full time on our agenda. No person – other than Trump - has the money, chutzpah, personality, staying power, love of country, business experience and international experience to fix this broken system.
2) Virtually all of our views on significant topics line up with his. Trump’s strategic talking points are about the things that the majority of Carolinians complain about on a daily basis.
3) But, the corruption and incompetence extends far beyond our borders and to the inept and lopsided agreements that have been established between the U.S. and other countries. We lose on every one of those agreements because they are negotiated by political hacks who have no business experience.
Those inept and lopsided deals are how we’ve lost tens of thousands of jobs and created unemployment rates that are so high that our government has had to alter how they calculate those rates to hide the truth from the American people. Trump is the only guy talking about fixing this because he is the only candidate that can fix it. All of this makes Trump the single most dangerous man on this planet to everyone except “We the People” who understand these points and are part of his movement.
This is what 90 percent of the people supporting Trump understand and why his support among his base is unwavering. This is far beyond just a campaign – it is a movement to bring government corruption and incompetence to its knees. This is the real reason that the Republican National Committee does not want Trump to be elected. And, they will do everything in their power to stop him. But, I think the South Carolina election results speak for themselves. The South Carolinians saw right through all of their shenanigans and didn’t allow themselves to be hoodwinked.
Trump draws supporters to his rallies by the thousands while others draw a few hundred at very best. This is unprecedented in politics. The liberal media try to make it sound like it’s because he is a celebrity. “No folks – we’re not that shallow.” Celebrity has zero to do with it. We support Trump because the last two totally incompetent presidents (16 years) have brought our country to the brink of disaster and Trump is the only candidate who can stop us from falling over the cliff.
All of the others sound good and I’m sure they are great guys. But, Cruz and Rubio are both career politicians who are being financially supported by other people or organizations to whom they will be indebted If they get elected. Trump has few donors. He owes no one or no organization and that is exactly why they fear him. We are his one and only Super PAC and he’s not asking anyone for campaign money – just our vote.
Frankly, we all wish that Trump would be just a little more politically correct (less confrontational) at times because we think it would help him attract the voters. But, if he did become more politically correct, he would not be Trump. One requires a ton of chutzpah to confront this huge mountain.
No one else has ever successfully done it. So, we trade off his sometimes rough (confrontational) style for the rewards of rebuilding our broken government, bringing jobs back to America and improving security for our families. The corruption level is staggering. And, those people are not going to just walk away without a huge fight to keep it and that puts Trump in the center of their cross hairs daily.
