Veteran opposes Trump for president
As a veteran of 27 years of military service, I was livid to see the photo “Veterans for Trump” (Veterans, Feb. 15). I don't support Donald Trump and frankly I believe he will destroy our country.
He has financial interests all over the world while claiming political donations would alter the candidates’ ability to legislate fairly. His use of colorful language does not make him tough, it makes him ignorant to the standards of what we expect from the leader of the free world.
I too am tired of the “do nothing” Congress and Senate, but not so much so that I would give my country away to a man like Trump. The field of candidates has resorted to name-calling, malicious innuendo and dirty tricks, primarily as a result of Trump’s crass and inappropriate remarks.
I love my country and I would gladly give my life for it, but I would lay down my arms and walk away if Trump were my Commander-in-Chief. My photo would read “Veterans against Trump,” as would my tombstone.
