Kasich assures a balanced budget — and I believe him

I attended the rally for John Kasich Thursday in Litchfield and came away with continued support for Kasich for president. I have known of John Kasich for about 30 years when I was in a senior management position with a Department of Defense investigative agency.

While on the House budget Committee, Kasich supplemented our budget by $25 million so we could hire the investigators needed to protect national security. His supplement to our budget paid dividends in that we identified a number of government employees and defense contractors involved in espionage against the U.S.

During his time as chairman of the House Budget Committee, the U.S. not only had a balanced budget but we actually had a budget surplus, and this was when we had a Democratic president. Kasich has turned around the economy in Ohio and is held in high regard by almost 70 percent of Ohioans. Do yourself a favor and vote for John Kasich on Saturday. There are other good Republican candidates for president but I think that when you take a close look at John Kasich you will find he is the right person to become our next president.
