Former Myrtle Beach snowbird laments exchange rate
It just occurred to me that the “locals” are going to get their wish this year and not have to put up with all those tourists making the lines too big at restaurants, grocery stores, et al. In my small circle of friends alone, I know of a least 10 couples who are not going to Myrtle Beach for March and April this year because the exhange rate on currency is too high.
I know it's only around $50,000 we'd spend combined, but hey, just think, you don't need the tourists. From our point of view, however, it is very disappointing because we love the area and most of the locals. Watch out, however, we may be back or just go to Florida. Anyway, good luck with Pesident Trump and God bless us all.
