A big thank you from the red kettle ringers
You probably saw (and heard) the bell-ringers standing next to The Salvation Army red kettle this past Christmas season. As the director of the local Salvation Army, I want to thank everyone who supported our efforts. Whether you placed a donation in one of the red kettles, or responded to the annual Christmas mail appeal or bought a gift for our Angel Tree program, your actions speak volumes about you and this very loving, caring community.
Your kindness provided groceries, assistance with rent and utilities bills, clothes and an abundance of games and toys. Thousands of people were served. And as they received the assistance you made possible, there were many heartfelt expressions of gratitude, often made through tear-filled eyes.
So on their behalf, I say “thank you” to all of you. With your continuing support the Salvation Army will remain steadfast in standing with “Heart to God and Hand to Man” serving those in need.
