Brookgreen Garden’s Nights of a Thousand Candles is beautiful

Hope you have been able to attend the Brookgreen Gardens Night of 1000 Candles. JoAnne and I attended Thursday evening and it was simply marvelous. The light display has varied from previous years in a most spectacular way, three displays in particular – children’s garden, the humongous Christmas tree, and the special hanging, quart masonry jars typifying lightning bugs in a jar.

Beautiful, just beautiful and there are many other lighting displays special in effect and presentation. This is not in any way to take away from the scrumptious lowcountry eating in the very, very large white circus tent. The worst point was walking to and from the parking lots. But with a loving friend, companion, or children it is a short walk.

When we left after our seasonal and festive walk, it appeared that all the parking lots were full and that was on the first night of this spectacular holiday event. Thanks to the folks at Brookgreen Gardens, the volunteers, the South Carolina State Troopers, and many layered security officers. I felt very safe and secure in the darkened garden with all its varieties of lights and displays.

Happy Holidays and do try and attend the Brookgreen Gardens Night of 1000 Candles.
