Trump lacks the ability to do what he says

Re the Friday letter from Virginia Wald, who believes that Donald Trump is the only candidate she would trust to keep her daughters safe from ISIS:

Of all the candidates, he is lacking the most in character and “know-how” to accomplish anything. Yes, he speaks his mind; most often in a hurtful, inappropriate, or disrespectful way. She said we can all relate to his words. Not all of us can.

Many of us are appalled by his brash, bullying, narcissistic behavior. And the “know-how” you claim he has is based on what, exactly? It is Trump's popularity with so many Americans that scares me more than anything. That an entertainer-developer with absolutely no political, military, and public service experience - who also is a sensationalist, pandering bigot - could actually be elected President of the United States is a very disconcerting and alarming prospect.
