Trump impressive in local appearance

The Sun News file photo

I went to Myrtle Beach Convention Center for the Trump rally on Nov. 24. It was incredible. No teleprompters, no notes, no typical political speeches - nothing but Trump totally unfiltered.

He didn't travel with a bunch of consultants, just his family. No political correctness, just Trump unfiltered, straight and directly to the point but with a lot of light-heartedness.

It was the first time I heard his entire plan tied together versus small sound bites. The one thing that stood out for me is that he started with jobs for all Americans, getting the economy growing and insuring that everyone who wants to work can participate in that growth. He talked about how the trade imbalance needs to be fixed to make those jobs happen.

And, he asked what other candidate we would want fighting for us in trade negotiations with China, Mexico, etc. other than Trump. The crowd roared with chants of Trump. Then he smoothly moved on to talk about how the newfound prosperity would aid the battle against illegal immigration and the fight on terror.

Then an amazing thing occurred. Trump very coolly and calmly conducted a direct frontal attack on the media with them right in the hall. He said, do you see those cameras back there? Seventy percent of the people behind those cameras are (or represent) pure scum because they are lying and distorting the truth to the American people. He said the media projected about 1,000 people would attend and there are over 10,000 here, but the cameras will never span the crowd because they don’t want anyone to know how popular I really am and how many voters are supporting me.

The cameras will be focused on trump and will never move. The crowd stood, turned and booed the media loudly. I watched the cameras the rest of the night and he was 100 percent correct. He said the previous night he had a crowd of 14,000-plus in Ohio – it was incredible – as stated by people who have been doing political campaigning for a very, very long time. The cameras never panned to show the size of the crowd in Ohio either – or for that matter any of his stops.

However, there was one Black Lives Matter protester in the crowd in Ohio and as soon as he made a fuss all cameras turned toward him and the evening news featured that spot with the protester instead of everything positive that happened in the other 89 minutes. It gave me a great insight of what the liberal media is doing to try to sabotage Trump and block the whole story from us viewers. Trump took that head on without fear. It was a full frontal attack with total transparency.

That gave me an insight to his management style and how he would govern. We all loved it. I thought it was very refreshing.
