Reader thinks cartoon was highly inappropriate

The political cartoon that was offered in the Sun News on Nov. 22 was indeed quite offensive, not only to Christians, but also to Jews, since, as everyone knows, Jesus was born a Jew. The analogy was highly inappropriate and, I thought, as far left-wing as a liberal newspaper could be.

But then you went completely overboard with the Anne Frank political cartoon on Nov 25. The satirist who created this cartoon is surely a left-wing liberalist and a person ignorant of many facts. But for The Sun News to publish this trash is an affront to all of your readers, regardless of their religious persuasion.

The Jewish survivors of the Holocaust (and Anne Frank and her family were unfortunately not survivors) have as much in common with the current Syrian refugees as your newspaper has with respectable and responsible journalism. Please also remind me of which Syrian refugees have even applied for a U.S. Visa?

Check your facts. Neither Mary, Joseph and Jesus and the Jews of the Holocaust era have any history of violence or terrorism. The analogies you printed in both cases are offensive and demeaning to people of Judeo-Christian values, regardless of their political affiliations.

Your timing and insensitivity are poor. You owe your readers an apology. And just for the record, my puppy refused to paper-train on your newspaper because it runs poorly chosen political cartoons.
