Tired of hearing about the phony ‘War on Christmas’
We are approaching that time of year when people indulge in their favorite holiday traditions. One of these is obviously complaining about the phony “War on Christmas,” which is now as predictable as snowflakes.
Did the four ladies who commented on not being able to say “Merry Christmas” due to political correctness in the Nov. 21 edition actually have a single example to cite, or were they just repeating gossip? The only War on Christmas that many of us are aware of is the one that was fabricated by conservative pundit Bill O'Reilly years ago, and it apparently turned out to be a lucrative venture for him.
Per the White Pages website, the four ladies are all over age 65, so they fall right into the Fox News core demographic of senior citizens who need to feel constantly aggrieved about something, real or imagined. So have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
