Horses leave massive mess on the beach
You make a big deal about 1,400 horses riding on our beach but did you mention the tremendous amount of horse poop left to be washed away by the tide? It was disgusting to even try and walk at the state park.
If Lakewood Campground is going to host such an event, they can hire people to clean up the beach, since apparently the horse owners aren't responsible enough to do it. Charleston puts diapers on those horses so they do exist. Do the math: three days, 1,400 horses. I'd warn the surf fishermen not to eat the catch for a while.
