If you deport Hispanics, you ruin economy

The Sun News file photo

According to the 2013 U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics report, 17% of the Hispanic population work in construction. So, if there are 11 million undocumented Hispanics in our country that means that close to 2 million Hispanics work in construction. If all those people were deported, the housing industry would go into a nose dive.

It would take with it the lumber industry, appliance makers, the furniture industry and hundreds of other businesses. The snowball effect would create the biggest depression this country has ever experienced. What about the landscaping and the farming industries? Do our political candidates ever consider the outcome of deporting 11 million people?
