Writer urges cleanup of U.S. 501

Any chance of using a street sweeper truck to clean up along the concrete barriers along U.S. 501 between Carolina Forest Boulevard and U.S. 17 Bypass? The breakdown lane is covered with sand, trash, growing weeds and looks terrible to visitors and locals who travel that road.

Now that tourist season has slowed down, I would think that job could be done with a minimal amount of effort and make the entrance into Myrtle Beach look much cleaner. The new trees and grasses along this route look great, so let's just clean up the roadway itself.
