Spurrier should not be paid remaining salary
Steve Spurrier is a state employee at a state school. Why, after submitting his resignation, is he to be paid $900,000 to sit in his office and take two and a half months to clean out his office. I find it offensive that university officials are so quick to hand out taxpayer money to someone who is doing nothing for it.
Who at the state level is allowing this to happen? When someone quits their job and stops doing what he or she was hired to do his or her pay should also stop.
We cannot pay for our road repair needs but we can pay a football coach $900,000 to not coach the team he was hired to coach. Only in South Carolina.
