Senators hypocrites on storm aid funds
The damage resulting from the recent flooding will, I assume, be covered by some federal assistance. This is a good thing. Living in a united country allows for assistance from Washington when a specific state suffers a major disaster. Neighbors helping neighbors, who knows who will be the next victim, that sort of thing.
A while back, the state of New Jersey suffered major losses from Hurricane Sandy. Certain U.S. Senators voted against giving federal assistance to New Jersey. Two of those were the senators from, you guessed it, South Carolina, Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Tim Scott.
How about that? It seems that if the damage is to the home state, send aid. If, on the other hand, the disaster is to another state, gee, a bummer, sorry, pal. Disgusting hypocrisy, anyone?
