Gun owners fear slippery slope with rules

Re: Terry Munson’s letter on gun control:

For the record, I am a conservative Republican. I have never owned a gun nor ever fired a gun. I do not believe anyone in my family owns a gun. I do not financially support the NRA.

I do believe gun owners are concerned that changes in the gun laws are a ``slippery slope issue.’’ First, Mr. Munson blames the entire Congress and then decides it is really one man and that is Speaker John Boehner. Mr. Munson’s latest dream is that if we have just one more incident we will reach critical mass.

I will let you imagine what he means by that. That event will push the population over the cliff. We will then throw out all the Republicans and replace them with Bernie Sanders look-alikes. When Mr. Munson thinks about this, it is only rivaled by the thought of thousands of us running to our computers and Googling ``obsequiousness.’’
