Let Middle East fight its own wars

President Obama is right!

I need help, help to understand what is going on in the Middle East. First off I am a I conservative, a Ronald Reagan conservative. I believe in traditional values, a strong military, much smaller, less intrusive government, individual freedom, the constitution, etc. What I see going on in the Middle East is Russia aligning itself with Assad in Syria and Iran, thus filling a void left by the U.S. A great number of Americans, mostly those on the right, believe that America should be more aggressive and more involved in unseating Assad and in going after ISIS. We should lead in the effort to rid the area of the brutality of ISIS. We should commit the necessary American troops to get the job done.

My question is why? Why should we commit our troops to fight ISIS? Why do we have to be the saviors of the world? What in God’s name are the Arab countries in the region doing to defend themselves? These countries do nothing. They sit back and hope that America will once again come to the rescue as we have done over and over again, spilling our blood and spending our treasure in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. How many American lives were lost in the defense of freedom around the world? We have become the de facto world police. What a great country, and what brave soldiers who go to foreign lands to fight and sacrifice their lives for their freedoms.

But do these foreign lands appreciate any of our unbelievably fantastic efforts? I think not. Look at Europe. Do European countries line up to defend freedom around the world as we do? They do not, and they never will. Russia will walk all over any and all European country any time it pleases them. They know that the cowardly European countries will not lift a finger to defend themselves or any other European nation.

So I say why should we come to the aid of Middle East Arab countries while they do nothing, while they sit back and wait for America to step in and rescue them from themselves? I totally agree with President Obama who is saying the same thing. Where are you Arab nations while ISIS is slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians in their reign of terror? Why do you not mobilize some effort to thwart these savages in your very midst? Please Mr. Obama do not get involved with what should be their fight. Let’s see if they can defend themselves. From what I see, they will not.
