Horry County must tackle medians, evacuation routes
Why is it that certain unincorporated areas of Myrtle Beach get no services from Horry County? The medians on U.S. 17 bypass between Farrow Parkway and Hwy 544 look horrendous and are an eyesore for any tourists.
The flooding and backup of our roads due to recent rains and Hurricane Joaquin seemed to surprise Horry County. There are at least 10,000 people living off of Azalea Lakes and Palmetto Pointe Boulevard and there was no evacuation plan in place to get us out. It should be evident to Horry County that Palmetto Pointe must be connected directly to 544 for emergency evacuation purposes. Please someone address this issue.
