Letter | If Tom Rice wants war with Iran, he should pick up a gun, head to front lines

Rice wants war, he should pick up a gun

To Our Esteemed Congressman Tom Rice,

Do you really want to go to war with Iran?

Do you want to loose 200,000 more of our young people so that the American Defense Industry (probably your biggest campaign contributors along with the NRA) can show huge profits?

If you want this war so much, then show some real guts by resigning and enlisting in the military. I can't see that happening - so just shut up and do something the people of South Carolina want:

-- 77 percent want a waiting period before buying a gun

-- 62 percent favor accepting federal money to expand Medicaid

-- 66 percent support raising the minimum wage

What do you do instead?

Sue the president, oppose the Iran nuclear deal, and vote time and time again - wasting our taxpayer dollars - to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

Insanity is described as “doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.”

Can you fault me for thinking you might be insane?

Scott A. Dilliard, Conway
