Note to tourists: Stop using our beach as your ashtray
Does anyone have any ideas on how we can stop the tourists and many locals from using our beaches for a large ashtray? I find it very inconsiderate when they put their cigarettes out in the sand and then they leave them there instead of putting them in an empty beer or soda can and disposing of them properly.
All of the beaches in North Carolina have signs addressing this very disturbing nasty habit these people. I wonder if they treat their own property with such disrespect? If anyone has a solution to this environmental problem please respond to this letter.
