Support officers who risk lives to support and protect citizens

AP

The recent national attacks on law enforcement agencies and officers is troubling. As someone who has been a member of the law enforcement community for the previous 25 years, I know firsthand the dangers of the profession.

Just because citizens don’t always agree with policies and actions of law enforcement does not give those individuals the right or authority to physically attack, berate and openly disrespect these honorable agencies.

As in every group, I am aware and recognize that all members of law enforcement may not act appropriately or correctly, but these persons are few in numbers. In essence, we are harming and berating the same people that we call upon to serve and protect us in a time of need. I call upon public servants ( politicians, congressman, governors) to openly and vigorously condemn these disgusting acts. Those who protect and support us need and deserve this.
