Letter | I have to praise two Myrtle Beach International Airport employees

Outstanding service at airport

Last Wednesday evening, my wife and I returned from a nine-day trip to France. We were driven to our car in the long-term parking lot by one of the red shirt attendants. Upon arriving at the car, we realized we might have a problem when my electric key would not work.

The battery was dead.

The cheerful attendant said, “No problem. We have a jumper pack.”

Unfortunately, the battery was so dead that numerous attempts could not get it started. The shift for parking lot attendants changed and the second attendant also tried to jump start the battery, to no avail.

I had called a friend to come pick up my wife and luggage. These wonderful guys insisted she wait inside in the air conditioning. They kept an eye on her while I contemplated options.

In the end, Quality Towing came. And after much pushing and pulling, we were able to get the car out of its spot and onto the truck. None of this could have happened if it were not for those wonderful guys in red shirts.

Thank you, Myrtle Beach Airport Authority.
