Letter | Don’t lower the speed limit on International Drive too much
Don’t lower speed on road too much
I've been following all the articles about International Drive. I recently read an article that stated Horry County had agreed to reduce the speed limit from 60 mph to 35 mph.
While I would agree that 60 mph is a bit high, I also believe 35mph is much too slow. With the speed limit on Carolina Forest Boulevard set at 45 mph, I can't help but wonder why the speed limit on International Drive, whenever it is finally completed, cannot also be 45 mph.
I also do not understand why the speed limit on River Oaks is 35 mph, but that's a topic for another, related, discussion.
Please tell me it was a misprint and the speed limit on International Drive will not be only 35 mph.
Jim Wingate, Carolina Forest
