Pastor’s message clear about price of sin

Re: Aug. 19 letter from Dolly Galioto, “Want to hear the truth about sin? Come to my church”

Dolly Galioto’s reply to Jack Brandmahl's letter wrongly assumed that Jack attended a church headed by a pastor who failed to speak out against the sins of our society.

While Jack and I agree with her views on, abortion, adultery, same-sex marriage and the horrible practice of dismembering a fetus and selling body parts, Ms. Galioto wrongly assumed that Jack attends a church where the minister is silent on cultural issues that the Bible identifies as sin. The very opposite is true.

We attend the Church of the Lost and Found located in the Pavilion in North Myrtle Beach. Evangelist John Paul Greenway founded the church 16 years ago and still presides as the pastor. Rev. Greenway teaches and preaches the word of God like his namesake, the Apostle Paul.

Rev. Greenway ministers God's word without fear and prejudice. Anyone who attends the Church of the Lost and Found cannot claim they have never heard the word of God. Furthermore they cannot claim no one ever told them about heaven and hell and the road that leads to both. “It's either up or down. Chose one,” he posits every Sunday as he gives the invocation.

We mean no offense to Ms. Galioto, but we want to set the record straight. We attend a church headed by a man of God who has no fear of telling it like it is, even if it offends the politically correct sensitivities of the “me” generation.

The writer lives in Myrtle Beach.
