Letter: Why does a lion’s death mean more than that of a fetus

I sat down at my iMac Aug. 2, to read my electronic version of The Sun News. I was reflective when I read the headline “The Travesty of Cecil the Lion.”

Then continued with the nice color photo of Cecil. Further on, I read “Zimbabwe restricts hunting after Cecil the lion’s killing.” And finally, “Man who studied Cecil: ‘It’s unacceptable.’”

I thought why is not the headline: “The Travesty of Planned Parenthood.”… “State and Federal Government restrict selling of aborted baby organs.”… “Man who studied pregnancies: ‘It’s unacceptable.’” Maybe a color photo of the petri dish with baby organs would have completed the storyline.

Where has our humanity gone?
