Letter | Ministers and Rabbis are failing the country - and so are the rest of us

Ministers and Rabbis are failing us

Who needs churches and synagogues?

The number of people leaving the church, and synagogue, is astronomical. The reason is simple: ministers and Rabbis have strayed from the Word of God.

Ministers and Rabbis did not protest when a liberal government struck down the right to pray and celebrate God in public places, including the schools.

Ministers and Rabbis did not protest when the Supreme court made abortion legal.

Ministers and Rabbis did not protest when the court legalized same-sex marriage.

Ministers and Rabbis refuse to warn non-married couples living together as husband and wife that the relationship is an affront to God.

Ministers and Rabbis refuse to preach on sin, heaven and hell, for fear it might offend someone in the congregation. Jesus warned of hell more than 19 times in the New Testament.

Why would anyone want to attend a church or a synagogue where they have to settle for pabulum that passes for a Christian sermon?

Did you ever think you would live to see a so-called non-profit organization that provides reproductive health and maternal child health services harvesting human body parts? The thought reminds me of a science fiction novel where a medical facility was impregnating women and aborting the baby at three months and selling off the body parts.

Who knows? This may actually be happening here. I can imagine women being paid to become pregnant and then aborting their babies so the body parts can be harvested and sold.

Do we hear the voices of our preachers and Rabbis rising in protest? How about you? Have you written your representatives in Congress to take action to shut down this inhumane practice?

NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN have spent hours reporting on the dentist who killed Cecil the lion but have for some reason or another avoided reporting on the atrocities committed by Planned Parenthood.

Our religious leaders - and you and me - watch and do nothing while the greatest atrocity of our time is happening right before our eyes.

The harvesting of a baby’s lung, its heart, its brain and other body parts is so heartless and wicked it makes one ashamed to be human.
