Introduction to Christianity saved many slaves’ souls
Slavery was and is wrong, that cannot be denied. However, some Christian denominations, especially the Baptist, believe that a soul cannot be saved unless he or she has accepted Jesus.
Christianity was introduced to slaves in this country, and the majority of their descendants follow its teachings today. If you believe as many Christians do, many souls that would have been lost were saved.
