Letter | Another option for May’s motorcycle rallies
For discussion: The May motorcycle events have outgrown the original concept.
Possible solution: The motorcycle association purchases land for development of a motorcycle themed facility — a park-like atmosphere similar to truck and rodeo rallies. Competitive home state clubs could vie for best performances in motorcycle contests. There must be endless possibilities for entertainment. I leave that to the bikers.
Friendships are formed by a new generation eager to learn from seasoned members.
Motorcyclists do not look for a beach holiday. They are much more freewheeling and need an outlet for their free spirits and rightly so.
In my humble opinion change is necessary when the nostalgia of the past becomes larger than the reality of the present.
