Re: May 19 letter from Marie Layman, “Why is Obama spending so much taxpayer money?”

I’m not an Obama fan but I will say I was a Republican until Bush took us to war in Iraq. Now I am an independent.

For the writer to say to say Obama has “broken all previous records with their super-extravagant and frequent vacations” is just plain false. He and Michelle have taken fewer than half the vacations of the Bushes.
