Letter | Salvation Army needs your help to fight hunger in Horry County
CHARITY
We need your help to feed the hungry
Have you ever felt hungry, a tummy-hurting hunger? Many of our local children and seniors experience that daily.
A Salvation Army caseworker told me she tries not to turn anyone away but sometimes there simply isn’t enough, and that the need increases when children are out of school.
Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted at any Horry County Family Store in Surfside Beach, Conway, North Myrtle Beach, and Loris from Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Donations can be made at the Conway office at 210 Laurel Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. That can included perishable items to refrigerate or freeze.
Please help us fill our pantry - and help us fill the tummies of those in need.
