Memorial Day march Monday in Myrtle Beach important to honor those who gave all
I want to thank the mayor and the city of Myrtle Beach for joining us on Memorial Day. This march unifies veterans, civilian supporters and those on active duty for one reason: to honor our fallen service members and loved ones.
Come and let them know that our country is free and great, because of their scrifice. They will know, believe me, they will know. God bless them, and God bless America.
Note: After an outpouring of support in response to a previous letter from Jack Platt about his plan to march on Memorial Day if he had to do it alone, the City of Myrtle Beach OK’d a march down Ocean Boulevard on Monday. It begins at 9 a.m. from 16th Avenue North to the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion site between Eight and Ninth avenues North. It will precede the annual Memorial Day service at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center at 11 a.m.
