Letter | North Charleston fatal cop shooting: It’s too easy to criticize police

It’s really easy to criticize police

Re: The April 29th letter written by Joanne Hafter, “Flimsy reason led to fatal North Charleston traffic stop.”

She goes on and on about a broken tail light on Walter Scott’s auto. She goes on and on about different situations with broken tail lights.

Bottom line: Ms. Hafter, the officer was dead wrong and is going to jail for life.

As a former police officer, my feelings are that if I stopped you for a broken tail light, you would probably go on and on about "Why aren’t you chasing bad guys.”
