Letter | Myrtle Beach area TV reception is of low quality, needs big improvement
TECHNOLOGY
Local TV reception needs to be better
My wife and I are avid TV watchers, beginning with the 6 pm news and continuing through prime time. Our preferences do not focus on one network. Our issue is the lack of quality control on the signals that are transmitted through cable companies and our local TV stations.
On numerous occasions, the transmissions have an issue with the audio and video synchronization. Basically, the actor’s lips do not match the voices or words being spoken.
With the cost of cable increasing significantly, cable companies, local stations and the FCC need to initiate stringent quality controls to eliminate this issue. I raise this issue so the viewing public can be better served in the South Carolina market.
If you acknowledge the need for improvement in the audio/video transmission from our cable providers, major networks and local TV stations, please let them know we need their support to resolve this issue.
