Throw ‘em off the team, coach

I am not a Donald Trump supporter. However, I agree with his statements dealing with the lack or respect some of our professional football players have displayed during the playing of our national anthem.

Their coaches are at fault for not insisting that they stand at attention during the playing of the anthem. If they do not, they should be fined, penalized or be thrown off of the team.

Perhaps, if this cannot be achieved, something like “God Bless America” could be sung.

I was at a concert Sunday with the Long Bay Symphony and the national anthem was played at the opening of the concert. I was so proud when everyone stood and loudly sang those immortal words, “O Say Can You See By The Dawn’s Early Light.”
