It’s good to highlight those kicking smoking habit

Delighted to see that you allowed some extra space for Angela Nicholas to tell her story about life with smoking.

Thank you Ms. Nicholas, and thanks to Timothy Loebs for working with families and others to begin demanding their love ones make efforts to meet with hypnotists and start a new life; it can be done.

My family grew tobacco, which I hated. In Congress, I was able to have some farmers reduce their crop and grow sunflowers for oil. It started great until the five experts were killed in an air crash after leaving from South Carolina on their way home. Flowers were lovely, but the cigarette industry spent millions.

Loebs can do the same for overweight people. This is a must, or we will be a third-class nation where 90 percent are sick people.

Also, thanks for Kenneth Generette story; he is a super attorney and does the work of two or more. The school board approved the raise. We are blessed to have him, especially with all of the problems he is able to assist with.

John Jenrette, former member United States Congress, Myrtle Beach
