Councilman doing outstanding job for Georgetown
I want to say a public word of thanks to Georgetown County Councilman John Thomas.
I operate a large excursion boat, the Explorer, in Murrells Inlet and rely on the newly-dredged navigation channel to take passengers on educational tours of the inlet.
I noticed the dredging contractor had not reinstalled signs around the north jetty that warn boaters of submerged rocks – a very unsafe situation.
I reached out to John and he immediately went to work to help coordinate a solution with the Army Corp of Engineers. I was very impressed with his responsiveness and knowledge.
I think John Thomas is doing a great job for not only Murrells Inlet, but for the entire county council district.
