GOP hurting the poor to help the rich
I was fortunate to visit the John F. Kennedy library in Boston recently. Included in the president’s inaugural address was a phrase that certainly applies to the issues our country faces today: “If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.”
The Republican members of Congress, including Rep. Tom Rice, who are attempting to take away health care from millions of Americans, and to eviscerate Medicaid in order to provide a tax bonus to the wealthy, should ponder this and rethink their priorities.
