Writer’s view of Civil War is absolutely hilarious

Re “The North caused the Civil War” letter by John Fisher.

I vastly enjoyed that laugh-out-loud, hysterically funny letter. It was worthy of a Stephen Colbert right-wing fake newscast. I think John has a brilliant career ahead of him and hope to see his stand-up act at the Comedy Club soon.

I most especially enjoyed these two sentences: "The war was not fought by the North to free the slaves, rather to force the South back into the Union by industrialists and government for monetary gain via the Union military. The result of Lincoln’s unconstitutional war is that today we are all financial slaves on Uncle Sam’s plantation."

You just can't find this kind of high-quality satire most anywhere these days. Not only was it thoroughly amusing, it was educational, convincing and well-argued, too. I know I've now changed my mind about the War Formerly Known as Civil. Thanks for keeping it 100, John.
