Trump voters wanted real change

Re "Who cares what’s wrong with Trump? What’s wrong with us?" by Miami Herald columnist Leonard Pitts Jr.

The writer misses the point when he says Donald Trump supporters voted for the president because of their dislike for minorities or same sex marriage or a black president. I think most "deplorables" voted because they wanted a change in the way our government has operated the last number of years.

We voted against the same old, same old that a Hillary Clinton presidency would have brought upon us.

I'm an independent voter. I will vote for the person I though would be the best on the economy and for the general welfare of my family. America might seem less great to a lot of people, but I believe President Trump will make the country better.
