Another liberal, another wrong-headed opinion
I groaned when reading “big lib” Eugene Robinson’s two-faced opinion. First off, James Comey got a slight bye when Trump came into office. If Hillary Clinton had been elected, Comey would have been gone on day one due to his investigation shenanigans the week before elections.
Comey cages questions to protect himself with some sort of political Teflon. Robinson claims Comey felt he was fired due to the Russia investigation. I believe he should have been fired for leaking information from confidential meetings with the president. Imagine the confidence that gives me, a grizzled war veteran, when the head of the FBI leaks information without telling his bosses.
Yet, Comey wouldn’t state, as he admitted, that President Donald Trump wasn’t under investigation, a slippery and political move. Comey’s duty as a public servant (he knows this because he is an attorney also) is to report Trump to the Justice Department if he felt threatened. He did not.
Robinson calling Trump a liar is classic left-wing bullying and continues to give me nausea. He should give the freshman Trump the same consideration he gave to the green community organizer who preceded him.
Lastly, I have Trump’s tax return - I found them between President Obama’s birth certificate and Clinton’s emails.
