FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton was a farce

Re “Trump should have stuck with reality TV” letter by Thomas Hall.

Hall refers to a comment of an alleged recently-retired Federal Bureau of Investigation agent who supposedly stated to him that the rank and file agents perceived former FBI Director James Comey to be “revered.”

I, like Mr. Hall, am familiar with a retired agent or two. Having said that, I can’t imagine 100 or more street agents, working full-time or part-time for a year or more on a case, and not obtaining enough info for an indictment and conviction. With that effort one would think they could have indicted and convicted Mother Teresa and half of Murrells Inlet, and yet, didn’t have enough to indict you know who.

There probably aren’t too many happy campers coming out of that investigation and probably not too many street agents who would describe Mr. Comey as “revered.”
