Keep your resort fee; our tourist dollars going elsewhere

Last year we made three trips to Myrtle Beach for a 3 to 4 day stay. This year we had hoped to return but have been turned off by your “resort fee.” So we instead had a nice stay in Knoxville, Tennessee, where we spent a delightful evening eating at Calhouns on the River and enjoyed a marvelous show by Ryan Kelly and Neal Byrn of Celtic Thunder.

Our motel was in Strawberry Plains. Breakfast was in Pigeon Forge at Old mill restaurant. We shopped along the way.

Nowhere did we feel unwanted. If you want to gouge us for a resort fee, we will go where we feel welcome!

You keep your resort fee motels, and we will take the welcoming mountains.

Anne Thomas, Easley
