U.S. still murdering too many babies
Re “Will Trump halt progress on abortions?” editorial by The Charlotte Observer.
Really? Since when is killing a baby progress?
The editorial states that this country has reached a wonderful threshold, less than one million abortions in a year. That’s not progress. I am in the medical field and am quite aware that every time an abortion is completed, a child has died.
Darwin's theory is just that, a theory. Once conception occurs, we are human; we do not evolve into a human at the moment of birth. Call it what you want, zygote, blastocyst, fetus, baby, adolescent, teen, adult - all names for a human being.
One woman had nine abortions until she was allowed to see the products of the ninth abortion, you know, the sliced off arms, legs, head, body. That was her final abortion.
Our first son was born 10 weeks early and is now a law-abiding adult with a family of his own. When he was born, he looked like a human; he was a human. And yet, we are killing children up to the date of their anticipated birth.
We don't need more contraception and more abortions in this country. We need morals, values and ethics which, by the way, are not religious in any way. This country has transgressed so far from respect for ourselves that killing babies is considered normal. Then we are appalled when one adult kills another. If we have taught a generation that it is okay to kill babies, why isn't it OK to kill anyone who inconveniences you? Abortion is not a religious issue; it is a moral issue. And it is downright insulting to equate killing a baby with religion only.
