Letters to the Editor

That purse meant a lot to me. Please return it.

Did you find a purse on May 22 at the U.S. Post Office on S.C. 707?

Thanks for not turning it in!

It contained many important things, my driver's license, Social Security card, Medicare card, Supplemental Health Insurance card, discount prescription card, and all of my credit cards. There was no cash; I never have any. It also included my cell phone.

I stopped at the post office on my way to the Coastal Cancer Center that day with my son, who has leukemia. I hope you will see it in your heart to mail those important documents and IDs back to me on your next trip to that post office. You have my address.

If you do decide on identity fraud, I will kindly loan you my walker, and maybe your grandma can help you out, if she can pass for 77!

Please consider how this impacts my life and the few years I may have to enjoy it.

I believe in the kindness of strangers and I will watch for some mail from you.
